Dr. Jin is the professor, vice president and chief physician of Beijing Tongren Hospital which was founded in 1886, CMU and the 7th director of Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology founded in 1959. Dr. Jin accomplished ophthalmologist training at The Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College and received PhD degree from Dept. of Ophthalmology, University of Miyazaki, Japan. Afterward, he worked as JSPS postdoctoral fellow and FPR researcher under Dr. Masayo Takahashi’s supervision at RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology, Kobe, Japan. In 2010, he came back China and worked at the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University, and then The Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. In 2020, he moved to Beijing as the director of Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology and led a clinical and research team. In 2022, he was appointed as the Vice president of Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University. Currently, he focuses on stem cell and gene therapy in retinal health, fundus grading and axial regulation of pathological myopia. During 2016 to 2019, he was the AMPC member of Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) and chaired Genetic Cross Section in 2019. Currently, he is leading the Eye Genetics Committee of The Genetics Society of China (GSC) and working as an International Advisory Board member of Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO), member of Regional Advisory Board of ARVO.
